Biodegradable pegs x50

$15.00

Biodegradable pegs offer a natural, environmentally friendly alternative to securing your weedmats in place.

The pegs are 120mm long and created from cornstarch making them 100% compostable and biodegradable.

Pegs will last a number of years in place before finally degrading. Degradation rates a similar to wool, the more moisture and warmth in the soil, the faster the peg will degrade. Living organisms in the soil will eventually turn the cornstarch peg into water, carbon dioxide and fertile humus leaving no toxic or synthetic residue waste in the soil.

Application considerations:

Pegs can easily be pierced through one layer of wool into the ground with force. There may be the need to pierce one layer at a time when trying to go through both layers of wool.
